In the card game poker, the person with the best hand does not necessarily take home the prize. In poker it comes down to the best player, the one who has the best strategy, the one who uses their skills to win.
Playing the hand that you have been dealt is a bold statement because so many people feel they have been dealt a lousy hand. As a matter of fact the ones who believe this will tell you every chance that they get how unfair life has been for them. The really tough part about it is yes in so many circumstances it's so true.
But in life if we decide to fold we have made a decision not to participate in our own life. When that happens we stagnate.
The family that we are born into is not our choice. That decision was made by the Creator. Because of man made barriers such as money, race, gender economics can be obstacles that can be challenging to say the least.
In the spectrum of life whether you were born with so called privileges or you were born into adversarial situations, your outcome has a lot to do with attitude and your perception and perspective on your life.
But because you have been born into poverty or perhaps great wealth, does not mean the final out come of your life will be failure or success. It's really learning how to utilize the hand you have been dealt.
It's recognizing okay this is what I have, there is a reason perhaps beyond me the why. But I am going to learn how to utilize what I have and make it work. If it is a life born of wealth perhaps I can help others, and if a life born without, perhaps I can develop and become the person I am born to be through the obstacles and inspire others.
In truth it's all about taking those cards you have been dealt and learning how to accept and master your own personal situation and making it work.
