There have been numerous life situations that appeared to be very clear in my mind when I thought I was 99% sure that I was right about a person or a situation. But being as human as I could possibly be, I have errored at times and simply have been 100% wrong.

Normally I am not a person that make snap judgements, I have strong intuitive instincts, and empath abilities. Also after being a social worker for over 20 years I have just developed a sense and skill set for examining what is truth or not.

Even not admitting the truth to myself doesn't set well with me I have to be honest, as painful as that can be at times.

Now some people struggle with admitting the truth about mistakes to others, but can deal with facing themselves. But many times just apologizing and admitting when we are wrong just messes us up.

When I was working with small children years ago and when I was on the path of becoming a teacher. I observed children playing and disagreeing . They were delightful to watch when they were in harmony. But the moment there was a disagreement they would scream, kick and cry. When it was time to apologize wow the break down in tears would be even worse.

Absolutely no one, no one wanted to admit that they were wrong. It was always, always someone's else fault.

As we grow we learn gradually, hopefully how to take responsibility for our actions. Humility can be a tough one, but it's needed if we are evolving into decent people. With the admission of wrong, it creates healing, and can create intimacy and vulnerability. Oh boy those words are really scary to a lot of us. The best part of aging is the humility of comprehending the world does not revolve around me, and I am only 100% when it's 100%. The admission of wrong has assisted me with understanding my own humanity, and the flaws that make us real and beautiful!
